Kristin Fisher is joining CNN in 2021. The reporter will serve as the Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she covers everything from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise of space tourism. Kristin, mother of NASA astronauts as well as an enthusiastic space lover, grew up immersed in the industry. She worked for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump administrations. In this time, she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trials, two efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus in addition to two distinct administrations' efforts. Kristin traveled frequently, and both with the vice president and president. She was even on an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a TV local reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter prior to becoming a reporter for CBS in 2015. Using her skills behind the camera, Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company was a specialist in documentary style films for corporate clients including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a bachelor's degree of journalism at Boston University. The place she lives is Washington, D.C., with her entire family, which includes their daughter, who is three years old.
